From Passover (Pesach) to Pentecost (Shavuot), we learn that with God there is no easy way into the Promised Land; but He promises to go with us ALL THE WAY. The Lord Adonai will never leave us or forsake His people; and as we journey with the Children of Israel in the Exodus experience, we see that their experiences are also our own. It’s in the Wilderness that we learn that the ways of the Lord are not like ours. That we must TRUST HIM for He knows what’s best – and the way we must take!

As we move from Egypt to the wilderness of Sinai, we understand that the process of God is as important as the destination itself. The Wilderness of this world and life was not designed to destroy His people (Israel), but to prove them and to prepare us for that Promise of eternal rest described in Hebrews chapter 4. It is in the Wilderness of this world and life that we learn who we are, who are enemies are, and, most importantly, who our Lord, El Shaddai (God Almighty) is in the lives of His people! We must go on to know Him friends. . .
