“Begin with Jezebel”: Live Video & Pt. 1 “The Purge of 2020”
As we learned in our teachings on the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread – “purging out the old leaven” – the sin of pride and the “rising agent” of that lie – is necessary for us to become a new creation in Christ. This is the pre-requisite and first order of purging (that must happen in our own lives) of “driving out and away” those things separate us from Christ-relationship and communion. We understand that this is a deep, spiritual act of Grace and inner work of the Holy Spirit that must occur in the heart, life, and soul of the (true) Believer. Something that we cannot do for ourselves, but that we yield to the power of God to do in our lives as “willing vessels.”
We also understand that this a progressive work to which “we must be fully engaged” each and every day of our lives. It is a process and not an event that occurs when we are filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit to practice the righteousness of Christ. Only in this sacrificial way can we bring an “acceptable sacrifice” and offering to God. One that honors and satisfies the finished works of Christ Himself.
Introduction to the Spirit of Jezebel

There will be many things assigned to stop and hinder your mission to “conquer ” the things of this world and to obey our Lord and Savior in this life. Besides our own internal oppositions – our own will and lusts, the temptations of the flesh, and the pride and its desires for this life (which must be crucified daily) there are also external forces that Satan has carefully crafted, cultivated and planted into the fields of our lives. Into our relationships.
She is the queen of Lies
This diabolical and demonic assignment of the high priestess Jezebel will “all but extinguish” our attempts at living a loving, holy and PEACEFUL life that is set apart and consecrated unto God. Of all Satan’s evil and wicked devices none will be more challenging or create more problems for the Believer than that of the spirit of Jezebel.
Jezebel can be described as many things, but she is first and foremost a “chameleon.” In traditional form, she is a “religious witch” that is often disguised as a clever and benevolent queen. As we see in her Biblical characterization. It’s important for us to realize that the “Jezebels in our lives” come in many forms. Not just as religious leaders, but also as companions, confidantes, friends, spouses, and certainly within the fellowship of the brethren.

You and Jezebel may already have a common history, but you don’t have to share a common future. As we “deep-dive” into the message and series on “The Purge (of God) 2020” Part 1 of the message includes our video that will kick off with a very brief discussion – and introduction to some – to the spirit of Jezebel. Though the spirit of Jezebel is not “gender-specific” it is hard not to see the personification best in the role of the famous biblical character of “Queen Jezebel” herself.
