A Purging of the Soul Pt. 2: “The Purpose of Pain and Temptation”

Join us in today’s broadcast as we examine how pain and suffering, as well as our trials and temptations, serve God’s greater process and purpose of separating that which is spiritual and profitable for man from that which is carnal and rooted in our fleshly lusts and desires in this life.
The “Preacher” in Ecclesiastes, Solomon, as the great and wise son of King David, proved the utter meaninglessness of earthly things in the final analysis and sum total of human life. This wisdom amplifies our understanding of spiritual and eternal virtues and values over carnal pleasures and temporary riches, which he calls: “Vanity of vanities!”
In today’s culture, the “lust” for the “things of this life” has taken priority over our relationship with our Heavenly Father, and the provider of “all that is good.” May our suffering and temptation have their perfect work through patience so that our souls will be complete in Him and lacking nothing!
