More than at any other time in history, “spiritual blindness,” a lack of understanding, and an inability to perceive the things of God is a sign of His divine judgment upon His own people in the last days. Jesus spoke in parables not just as a literary illustrative tool and technique —but to create a line of demarcation between those who would be true disciples and followers versus those who were simply ‘marked present’ to hear his words as a part of an audience. Matthew 13:13
