breaking-up-the-fallow-ground-of-your-heart

The Word of God calls all believers everywhere to examine their hearts and test and see whether or not they are actually in the faith. In this hour the Lord is bringing many of us back to the traumatic spaces and places in our lives; where our healing has been interrupted, rerouted, delayed, and has simply taken place.

The enemy of our souls fully understands that as long as we are guarding our wounds or holding on to past offenses, hurt, and pain –we can ‘never recover.’ Our flesh and vanity, “the pride of life” will instead create a false image to ‘protect those wounds.’ Replacing the worship and rejecting the love of the true and living God for ‘the idol of self.

“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.” -2 Corinthians 13:5

The Lord makes it clear that the Kingdom of God cannot be sown into ‘fallow ground.’ It is the Holy Spirit of the Lord that searches and tests the hearts and minds and it is the Word of God ‘discovers our condition.’

We are exhorted in this broadcast to “break up the fallow ground” of our hearts. We must make the decision to ‘RETURN’ to the Lord (REPENT), which has been a recurring biblical theme and exhortation during this season, based on our own will and willingness to respond to the call of God. The prophet Jeremiah was sent by God to his own generation to make the call. That call continues…

For thus says the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem:

“Break up your [b]fallow ground,
And do not sow among thorns.
Circumcise yourselves to the Lord,
And take away the foreskins of your hearts,
You men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem,
Lest My fury come forth like fire,
And burn so that no one can quench it,
Because of the evil of your doings.”
