Selecting the Priests of God: “Awake and Wise or Asleep and Foolish?”

Today we begin with with an exhortation by the apostle Peter, “to make your calling and election sure...” Here, Peter, who is approaching death, reflects upon what gives us the victory and writes this epistle to His own brethren by addressing them as, “to those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ...” Though he treats them as equal to him in the faith, they still have need of this sobering exhortation, as the ‘end of days’ draws nigh for every man.

“Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

2 Peter 1: 10-11

Join us in today’s broadcast where the Lord declares that a ‘Final Purge’ is here and already underway. The Lord is qualifying and preparing His priesthood right now, in real time, and the wise in Christ are most attentive and “diligently” working out our own salvation with fear and trembling before the Lord.

We are committing (and in some cases “re-committing”) our lives and dedicating ourselves to that of purity, sanctification, and holiness before both God and men. We also, firmly understand that this righteous requirement is not just tied to our successful fulfilment of earthly ministries and callings, but to our salvation in Christ itself.
