Isaiah 6-9 Keep On Listening But Do Not Hear blue

If there was ever a time in human history where both the “message and the messenger” are under attack it’s right now. Today’s Watch Word is taken from Isaiah chapter 6 and goes far beyond the readers of this broadcast.

“Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged.” 8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” 9 And He said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’ 10 “Make the heart of this people dull, And their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return and be healed.” 11 Then I said, “Lord, how long?” And He answered: “Until the cities are laid waste and without inhabitant, The houses are without a man, The land is utterly desolate, 12 The Lord has removed men far away, And the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land. 13 But yet a tenth will be in it, And will return and be for consuming, As a terebinth tree or as an oak, Whose stump remains when it is cut down. So the holy seed shall be its stump.”

Here we have one of THE most prominent prophets in all of Scripture who started off just like those he would, in turn, have to warn and sanction. The only difference between Isaiah – God’s messenger – and the rest of the people is that God actually called him. He called him “up and out from amongst the people” and their uncleanness. When God did this He personally “sanctified and sealed” the words of Isaiah’s mouth to deliver life or death at His holy command.

The Covid-19 pandemic and global crisis is a tremendous opportunity for the people of God to get into “right-position” and relationship in this hour. As in any time of unprecedented danger, calamity, or social upheaval God always reveals His divine will and plan for His people – and simultaneously exposes and uncovers the true nature of the people, places and things around us. The world ironically calls this period of time “a purge” and in their irreverent ignorance and appetite for Hollywood melodrama, they are actually quite correct. This concept of “purging” is a spiritual and divine principle that is rooted in Holy Scripture and is found most notably in the book of Ezekiel.

“I will purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the country where they dwell, but they shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 20:38

Each time God allows the earth and the world to be “shaken” the overriding purpose is a plan of separation and consecration for His true Believers. It’s a warning and another opportunity to choose Yehovah-Elohim over the rulers and deceivers of this world. As God allows this shaking to continue upon the earth until the very end of the Age (which we have explained many times in the past year and beyond) the sole purpose in the life of the believer is to awaken us to His righteousness and “to dislodge” anything and everything attached to our lives not preordained by God.

Alternatively and unfortunately, however, many who thought and professed themselves to be true believers and witnesses of Christ during this time will, in turn, learn who they truly are in their hearts – and be shaken out and away with their false gods and images of the true God. They are shaken “a loose” for all to see as they cling to the very things God desired to deliver them from. Isaiah teaches us that this is actually a judgment handed down by God Himself. Their folly and shame, their inability to hear and to see spiritually are just as it was during the time of the prophet. It is now, however, for our greater good, lesson and example.

Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Hebrews 12: 27

Isaiah had a very unpopular assignment and a few have been called to that very same ministry today. A quick review of Isaiah chapter 6 gives us a very clear picture of the God of the Message, and what would be the plight of the 90% (the mainstream masses) of His own people because of their perpetual refusal to hear and take heed to His instructions and commandments. A ministry and Word from God, might I add, that was recapitulated and quoted directly by our Messiah Himself in Matthew 13: 13-15. Jesus (Yeshua) personally confirms the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah:

“And in them, Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand and seeing you shall see and not perceive. For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with tier hearts and turn So that I should heal them.”

But of His chosen who have drawn nigh unto His voice, He says: “But blessed are your eyes for they see and your ears for they hear.” 13:16

We are already in an “unforeseen time” of desperation as it pertains to the things of God, and not merely with regard to the chaos facing this world. Isaiah’s message and warning to God’s people were clear. It was an edict by God Himself. It was really His message. A divine proclamation of judgment against all those who remained in rebellion, pride, stubbornness and idolatry against God. It was a judgment that was imminent and that could no longer be stopped.

The prophet was now given the tragic task of informing his mainstream believers and contemporaries that because they had made it up in their hearts to “follow after their own dictates” and the precepts of their own hearts that now God says:

“I will not allow you to (spiritually) understand what is coming upon you, to understand Me and what I am doing, or my words and my ways. . . so that now you will no longer have the opportunity to turn away from your sins, repent and come to Me … that I may heal you.”

Isaiah had to inform them that only a small, Holy Remnant of God’s people Israel would survive and be saved to remain in His holy city. And that He would continue to bring one calamity after another until all else is destroyed and His judgment upon them is fulfilled:

But yet a tenth will be in it, And will return and be for consuming, As a terebinth tree or as an oak, Whose stump remains when it is cut down. So the holy seed shall be its stump.” Isaiah 6: 13

The question we must all ask ourselves at this contravening time in history is whether or not we are a part of that Holy Seed of Israel and the posterity of Christ. That “tenth” that will remain. Or, are we only a self-deceived part of the 90% and masses of professing believers that will be cut off, removed, and shaken away in God’s judgment? You can certainly try “slapping your neighbor,” but know that God has the final answer.

Please join us this week for Part 2 to this message and a special list of instructions to follow during this time shaking and awakening! “Be assured that the wicked and evil will not go unpunished, but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered!” (Proverbs 11:21)

God Bless you all.
